In this fast paced world people barely have time to exercise, they are either too busy at work or so exhausted to workout. But it is amazing how they all find time to whine about their weight and ask me the ways that help me to lose weight. Getting fat as well as staying fit is a choice. If you want to lose weight then you need to work on your busy schedule. But don’t fret because there are many ways to exercise without taking too much of your time. And I am going to tell you the exercises that help me lose weight.

Exercises for those Short on Time

Since almost everyone don’t have the luxury of time to spend on the gym and burn the calories, I think 3 to 5 minute exercises is not a lot to ask. 3 to 5 minutes are just the time i consumed to help me lose weight. But is it possible? Did it really help me lose weight? The answer is a big YES. Studies have shown that five minute exercises spread all throughout the day is as good as working 2 to 3 hours in the gym.

Stretch for 3 to 5 minutes – Spend the entire time just stretching your entire body. Start stretching from your feet and work your way up to your head.

Speed Walking – Start by walking slowly for a minute then increase the speed and do power walking for the remaining 4 minutes. I must say that speed walking are one of my favorite workout that help me lose weight.

Crunches – Work on your abs by doing crunches. Take little breaks in between.

Leg lifts – Do 50 leg lifts or more for 5 minutes. Be sure to take just little stops in between.

Squats – 40 to 80 squats will be just enough for 5 minutes. Just a few reminders, don’t arch your back, keep your head straight not down and avoid bringing your knees in.

Jumping Jacks – An easy but effective way that help me lose weight. Do 100 jumping jacks or more for 5 minutes, this will get your heart racing in no time. And we all know that increased heart rate can help speed up your metabolism.

To help me lose weight I paired these exercises with a healthy fruit and vegetable diet. Every good exercise should come with a healthy and yummy diet. Try eating high fiber foods and consume 5 to 6 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Rest assured that your body will thank you when you keep doing this kind of exercises and continue eating healthy foods. So I am done sharing you the ways that help me lose weight.
